Privacy Policy

Effective date: 1 May 2025

1. Who We Are

Suportra (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the platform at suportra.com, providing on-demand human expert chat for users working with AI-assisted development tools. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

For privacy enquiries, contact us at hello@suportra.com.

2. Data We Collect

Account data

  • Full name and email address, provided at registration.
  • Encrypted password (we never store your password in plain text).
  • Account role (user, builder) and creation date.

Conversation data

  • Chat messages and transcripts from support sessions, including any source code, configuration files, or other materials you choose to share with a Builder.
  • Session metadata: start time, close time, tool selected, Builder assigned.

Billing data

  • Conversation credit balance and transaction history (pack purchases, usage, video sessions).
  • Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Suportra does not store card numbers or full payment details — only Stripe payment IDs and subscription references.

Usage data

  • Pages visited and features used within the platform (standard web analytics).
  • Browser type, device type, and approximate location derived from IP address.

Stack audit submissions (no login required)

  • If you submit a free stack audit at /stack-audit, we collect your email, what you are building, the tools in your stack, and any blockers you describe.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide the Service — matching you with a Builder, running chat sessions, billing for conversations.
  • To send transactional emails — session confirmations, credit alerts, purchase receipts, account management.
  • To enable you to review past sessions from your dashboard.
  • To improve the platform — understanding which tools users work with and common blocker patterns.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your source code or session content to train AI models or to improve any product other than the Suportra platform itself.

4. Source Code and Confidential Information

Source code, configuration files, and other sensitive materials shared during a chat session are treated as Confidential Information under our Terms of Service.

  • Session content is visible only to you and the assigned Builder during and after the session.
  • Builders are contractually bound by a non-disclosure agreement and may not use or share your source code outside the session.
  • Suportra staff may access session transcripts only for support or safety purposes.
  • Chat transcripts are retained on our servers to allow you to review past sessions. You may request deletion at any time by emailing hello@suportra.com.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only as follows:

  • Builders — assigned Builders can see your chat messages and any source code or files you share in the session.
  • Stripe— payment processing. Stripe’s privacy policy applies to data they handle.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery (your email address and email content only).
  • Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure hosted in the EU.
  • Legal — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Suportra or its users.

6. Data Retention

  • Account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
  • Chat transcripts are retained indefinitely to support your session history, unless you request deletion.
  • Billing records are retained for 7 years as required by financial regulations.
  • Stack audit submissions are retained until processed and for a reasonable period thereafter for internal records.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to restrict or object to its processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@suportra.com. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies

Suportra uses essential cookies only — for authentication session management (Supabase auth cookies). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Database access is restricted to authorised services. We apply industry-standard security practices and review them regularly.

10. Children

The Service is intended for professional use and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of any material changes. Continued use of the Service after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
